CaMo Terms Of Service- (formerly known as TaxiNurse® )
CAMO-NYC TERMS AND CONDITIONS
-
Payment is due at the time of online or phone booking via credit/debit card unless other arrangements are made with CaMo-NYC in advance. Sorry, no cash or personal checks.
-
Minors under 18 years of age may not book any CaMo-NYC services and must be accompanied by a parent or an adult with legal consent.
-
Proof of age and identity may also be requested at any time.
-
Rates quoted prior to service are for the cost of services within time allotted. Additional services or delayed procedures will affect pricing past 6pm.
-
Service pricing applies to trips within 25 minutes of travel time. Extended travel time will incur an additional surcharge. Final pricing may be adjusted to account for increased travel time, staffing, and operational requirements.
-
We will coordinate the pickup and ensure the patient is picked up as scheduled.
-
No additional stops are permitted between the facility and the destination provided at the time of booking. Any changes to the destination must be requested and approved at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time.
-
For clients who require a pharmacy stop, this service is available with our Standard and Enhanced bookings. Pharmacy stops are intended for immediate prescription pickup only. Any extended wait time, additional routing, or need for an additional vehicle will result in additional charges, which will be billed to the patient. Please note that our Basic service does not include any additional stops. If a pharmacy stop is requested with a Basic service, an additional fee will apply.
STANDARD WAIT TIME & AFTER-HOURS FEES
-
Standard wait time: $25 per 15-minute increment beyond the arranged pickup time.
-
After-hours wait time (after 6:00 PM): $50 per 15-minute increment beyond the arranged pickup time.
Wait time charges begin once the scheduled pickup time has passed and continue until the patient is ready for departure.
TRANSPORTATION COMPLIANCE & LIABILITY
-
Patients must use the transportation service provided by CaMo-NYC to the designated drop-off location specified at booking. The only exception to this is the “Companion Only” service.
-
By booking with CaMo-NYC, the patient acknowledges and agrees that any deviation from the agreed-upon transportation arrangement releases CaMo-NYC from all liability.
-
If a patient chooses to take an alternative form of transportation instead of our provided car service, CaMo-NYC reserves the right to withhold companion accompaniment. This policy is in place to ensure the safety of both the patient and our companions. CaMo-NYC is not responsible for any incidents, injuries, or liabilities arising from a patient’s decision to disregard this policy.
-
CaMo-NYC is not responsible for any lost or missing items. However, our team will always conduct a thorough check of the vehicle, including seats and doors, to help ensure that no belongings are left behind.
-
CaMo-NYC reserves the right to refuse service if a client is deemed medically, physically, or mentally unsuitable for transport.
-
CaMo-NYC reserves the right to decline transporting clients who leave a facility against medical advice (“AMA”), or if a CaMo-NYC team member and/or driver is/feels unsafe in any way.
“COMPANION ONLY” SERVICE POLICY
If you book the Companion-Only service, please note the following requirements:
-
Once a companion is assigned, the companion must accompany you all the way home, even if you are arranging your own transportation (including a private car, taxi, Uber, or Lyft).
-
Your transportation must be secured and confirmed at the time of discharge.
If you are using a taxi or ride-share service, the ride must be called, requested, or actively arriving before the companion signs you out or walks you out of the facility.
-
You must be able to show the companion the ride confirmation.
-
Companions are not permitted to accompany patients on trains or public transit under any circumstances.
If at any point before or after leaving the facility you choose to dismiss the companion or state that you do not want the companion to accompany you home:
-
The service will be considered completed.
-
The companion will notify the medical facility that you have refused accompaniment.
